Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is
u
in the off-position before connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or
energizing power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
Disconnect Appliance – Remove the battery when not in
u
use, before servicing, when changing accessories such as
blades, and the like.
Store Idle Appliances Indoors – When not in use,
u
appliances should be stored indoors in dry, and high or
locked-up place – out of reach of children.
Maintain Appliance With Care – Keep cutting edge
u
sharp and clean for best performance and to reduce the
risk of injury. Follow instructions for lubricating and chang-
ing accessories. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil
and grease.
Check Damaged Parts – Before further use of the ap-
u
pliance, a guard or other part that is damaged should
be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of mov-
ing parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other
condition that may affect its operation. A guard or
other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or
replaced by an authorized service center unless indicated
elsewhere in this manual.
Damage to Unit – If you strike or become entangled with
u
a foreign object, stop appliance immediately, remove
battery, check for damage and have any damage repaired
before further operation is attempted.
DO NOT immerse appliance in water or squirt it with a
u
hose. DO NOT allow any liquid to get inside it. If appli-
ance does get wet, allow to dry for a minimum of 48 hours.
DO NOT store the appliance on or adjacent to fertilizers or
u
chemicals.
Don't grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting
u
edges when picking up or holding the appliance.
DO NOT clean with a pressure washer.
u
DO NOT charge appliance in rain, or in wet locations.
u
DO NOT use battery-operated appliance in rain.
u
Remove or disconnect battery before servicing, cleaning
u
or removing material from the gardening appliance.
Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools
u
allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety
principles.
A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction
of a second.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on
u
and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do

not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
SERVICE- Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
u
repair person using only identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Be familiar with the controls and the proper use of the
u
appliance.
Always remove the battery from the appliance whenever
u
the appliance is unattended, before clearing a blockage,
before cleaning and maintenance, after striking a foreign
object or whenever the appliance starts vibrating abnor-
mally.
Do not use the appliance if the cords are damaged or
u
worn.
Wear stout shoes or boots to protect your feet.
u
Wear long trousers to protect your legs.
u
Before using the appliance, check that your cutting path is
u
free from sticks, stones, wire and any other obstacles.
Only use the appliance in the upright position, with the
u
cutting line near the ground. Never switch the appliance
on in any other position.
Move slowly when using the appliance. Be aware that
u
freshly cut grass is damp and slippery.
Do not work on steep slopes. Work across the face of
u
slopes, not up and down.
Never cross gravel paths or roads while the appliance is
u
running.
Never touch the tines while the appliance is running.
u
Do not put the appliance down until the tines have come
u
to a complete standstill.
Keep hands and feet away from the tines at all times,
u
especially when switching on the motor.
Before using the appliance and after any impact, check for
u
signs of wear or damage and repair as necessary.
Never operate the appliance with damaged guards or
u
without guards in place.
Always ensure that the ventilation slots are kept clear of
u
debris.
