    ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS UNPACKING - (FIGURE B) Remove the frame / upper handle assembly, mid handle, battery, wheels, drag bar, tines and hardware bag from the carton. The hardware bag contains: 1. Safety Key (1) 2. Long Carriage Bolts (2) 3. Short Carriage Bolts (4) 4.

    WHEEL ASSEMBLY - (FIGURE E) 1. Place a washer (E-1) on each end of the axle. 2. Place a wheel (E-3) on each end of the axle. 3. Place another washer (E-1) on the outside of the wheel. 4. Thread bolt (E-2) into axle. Tighten securely with a 10 mm or adjustable wrench.

    • A fully charged battery can be safely stored down to -40°C (-40°F). • The battery is maintenance free. • The CTL36 cordless tiller uses the RB-3612 battery.     OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS KNOW YOUR TILLER READ THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND SAFETY RULES BEFORE OPERATING YOUR TILLER. See “Func- tional Description” to familiarize yourself with the location of various controls and adjustments. Save this manual for future reference. SAFETY KEY SHARP MOVING TINES. In order to prevent accidental start-up or unauthorized use of your Cordless Tiller, a removable safety key I-1 has been incorporated into the design of your tiller.

    ADJUSTING THE WHEEL HEIGHT POSITION - (FIGURE O) DANGER: Avoid accidental starting. Release bail handle to turn tiller off, wait until the tines stop and remove safety key prior to adjusting wheel height position. The Tiller has three wheel height positions. Lowest Position - When the wheels are in their lowest position this will allow easy transportation to and from your work area.

    TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE PROBLEM RECOMMENDATION 1. Tiller doesnʼt run when bail handle is activated. A. Check to make sure safety key has been installed and is fully seated and that button on switch housing is being completely depressed. B. The tiller is protected from overheating with a manually resettable circuit breaker.
