4. Fault Isolation for RESCU 406AFN
A. Use the Fault Isolation charts that follow as a troubleshooting guide at the same time as the
Installed System Tests. If the results of one of those tests are unsatisfactory, use the Fault Isolation
Flowcharts (Figures 103 to 105) to isolate the system component that is the problem.

Input With 28 V dc connected to pin N, one
of LIGHT or LEDDRIVE is necessary
to drive LED indicator. With
LEDDRIVE connected, LED will have
a blinking ON indicator.
Output To transmitter unit, to send the
position of the 3-position functional
switch.
Output Contact closure to ground, when
transmitter sends. Connected
internally to pin C.
Input To aircraft dc ground
Input Necessary if panel backlit used.
Connect to 0 – 5 V ac 400 Hz.
Input Necessary if 5 V ac is connected.
Input Supplies contact closure to ground, to
operate LED indication. Available only
if 28 V dc is connected to pin N.
Input Supplies Light Test to do a test of LED
