2.2 OPERATION
2.2.1 OPERATING MODES
Mpro Trip Units have four opera ng modes: Setup, Meter,
Status and Events. These are accessed through the ve keys on
the Trip Unit front.
-- UP: Scroll up or increment value
-- DOWN: Scroll down or decrement value
-- RIGHT: Next func on or next page
-- LEFT: Previous func on or previous page
-- ENTER: Save or set in to memory

2.2.2 SETUP MODE
SETUP Mode programming must be performed with the ra ng
plug installed. This procedure apply to all trip unit types.
The SETUP procedures should only be repeated if the trip unit or
the protec on characteris cs are changed, requiring di erent
set points and medelays.
All trip units provide long me over current protec on, long
me delay, and some form of short circuit current protec on
when installed in circuit breakers. All other func ons are
op onal.
If a speci c set of trip unit func ons, such as relaying or short
me over-current protec on is not installed that func on will
not appear on the trip unit display. Ignore setup mode
instruc ons
for such func ons.
The trip unit must be powered by one of the indicated four
methods during SETUP. (see par. 2.1.9)
-- Press UP or DOWN un l the SETUP mode is selected.
-- Press RIGHT or LEFT to access the func ons in the SETUP
mode.
-- Press ENTER to save desired values.
-- Press RIGHT to advance to the next func on.
2.2.2.1 Entering Set points into Memory
1. Press UP or DOWN to select SETUP.
2. Press LEFT or RIGHT to select the desired protec on to
change.
3. Press UP or DOWN to change values. The values will start
ashing.
4. Press ENTER to store the value into the memory. The
displayed value stops ashing and the save icon appears on the
top of the LCD. This indicates that the value has been stored in
memory and is ac ve.
5. Con rm se ngs on the trip unit a er making changes by
exi ng and re-entering SETUP mode and rechecking each
changed se ng.
