2.1.6 Manual scope
This user manual describes the installa on, connec on,
maintenance and use of the Mpro Electronic Trip Units type S
and N.
2.1.7 Manual or Automa c reset func on
The breaker reset mode can be chosen by a selector switch on
the Trip Unit front as indicated in gure 2.3. There are 2
possible posi ons or con gura ons .
1) manual
In this con gura on the assembly in the trip unit interlocks
with a mechanical lockout func onality of the circuit breaker.
When the circuit breaker trips a mechanical interlock changes
state.
This Interlock drives a assembly in the trip unit forward so that
the depicted bu on "pops" out from the front of the trip unit.
This device also operates an op onal Bell Alarm contact
mounted in the circuit breaker.
In order to re-close the breaker; the mechanical interlock must
be reset by depressing the bu on on the front of the trip unit .
This also resets the Bell Alarm contact in the circuit breaker, if
present.
2) auto
In this con gura on the assembly in the trip unit is
mechanically restrained so that the depicted bu on does not
"pop out" from the front of the trip unit. The op onal Bell
Alarm contact in the circuit breaker does not change state.
The breaker can be re-closed (Either manually or
using a closing coil) without rese ng the bu on
since it is held in the reset posi on.
2.1.8 Full Range Ra ng Plug

separately available Ra ng Plugto allow it to func on correctly.
