Adjust the Printhead Gap

The printhead gap adjuster is located behind the control panel. You can adjust
the size of the printhead gap for different paper thicknesses.
1 Verify the type and thickness of paper you are using. Look in "Recommended
Printhead Gap Settings" for your paper type, and set the green printhead gap
lever to the recommended setting.
Or, start with these guidelines:
If you are using single-sheet forms, set the green printhead gap lever to 1
on the scale.
If you are using 2- or 3-ply forms, set the lever to the range 1.2 to 2.1 on
the scale.
2 Try a test print. If the print is too light, set the lever to a lower number to
darken the print. If the paper jams frequently, set the lever to a higher
number.
