Replace the Fuse

About the Internal Battery

Note: Before you replace the fuse, turn off the power and disconnect the power
cable.
1 Slide the fuse holder in the direction shown by the PRESS arrows and pull
the holder up out of the printer. The holder does not come all the way out of
the printer.
2 Replace the fuse (6.3A, 250V required).
3 Press the fuse holder back into the printer.
The optional battery (P/N 203-186-100) allows the portable printer to operate
independently of other power sources. The battery charges when:
the printer is connected to a 24 VDC vehicle power system.
the printer is powered by the external power adapter.
Note:The printer battery does not provide power to an installed computer.
Caution:The printer discharges the internal battery even when the printer is not
is use. Over time, the internal battery can discharge to the point where the
battery is not recoverable. Plug the printer into an external charge source or
disconnect the battery when you store the printer for any length of time. A total
discharge of the battery is most likely to occur when the battery is new and the
battery chemical reactions are not fully formed, or when the battery has had only
one charge cycle.
