5.3 Connection
Connection of the foundation grounding electrode
No.
1 Remove the screws and clamping plates of the connection terminal
2 Cut the foundation grounding electrode to the correct length
3 Clean the clamping surface of the foundation grounding electrode
4 Place the foundation grounding electrode in the clamp
5 Mount the clamping plates
6 Tighten all screws with the corresponding tightening torque
7 Measure and write down the value of the earth loop impedance:
Connection of the protective conductor

1 Remove the screw from the grounding plate
2 Cut the protective conductor to the correct length
3 Remove the sheath of the cable to connect the cable lug
4 Choose a cable lug for the appropriate conductor cross-section
5 Strip the insulation from the end of the cable so that the remaining insulation extends up to the
cable lug
6 Fasten the cable lug correctly to the end of the conductor using a suitable crimping tool
7 Screw the cable lug of the protective conductor to the ground connection
8 Tighten the screw with the corresponding tightening torque
9 Measure and write down the value of earth loop impedance:
Connection for the low voltage cable/AC
No.
1 Pull the socket out of the plug.
2 Open the socket.
3 Remove the jacket of the low voltage cable/AC to a length of approx. 5 cm.
4 Insert the connection cable into the enclosure.
5 With a flexible cable, select the wire end sleeves for the corresponding conductor cross section.
6 Strip the ends of the conductors so that the remaining insulation reaches up to the wire end
sleeve.
7 Fasten the wire end sleeves properly on the conductor ends.
8 Clamp the protective conductor into the ground terminal.
9 Clamp the L conductor into the L terminal.
10 Clamp the N conductor into the N terminal.
11 Check the connections of the conductors to the terminals.
12 Tighten the clamps with a torque of 0.25 Nm.
13 Close the enclosure of the socket.
14 Insert the socket into the plug.
