VERIFICATION OF OPERATION PRIOR TO INSTALLATION

It is strongly recommended to verify the operation of the Hydran 201Ti's before instal-
lation in the field (for the installation procedure, see Section 6.3 on page 6-17). The verifi-
cation confirms that no damage occurred during shipping and allows the user to become
familiar with the H201Ti.
6.2.1

Preparation

1. Place the Hydran 201Ti upward on its brass adaptor end.
2. Unscrew the knob on the front of the aluminum cover.
3. Remove the cover and place it aside.
4. Connect a three-wire power cord to the ac Power 3-Terminal Block on top of the I/O
module (item 8 in Figure 2-4 on page 2-8): The live side to L1/L, the other side to
L2/N, and the ground to E/G. For additional wiring details, see Table D-1 on
page D-1.
Note: If a supervisory link cable is attached to the H201Ti, do not connect it to the
Hydran 201Ci Controller now. It will be connected later when testing the H201Ci (if
supplied).
Strip each wire to a maximum of 8 mm before installing it. Be sure

to insert all strands in the terminal.
5. Ensure the ac power supply voltage indicated on the label near the terminal block
corresponds to the power source voltage.
6. Power On the H201Ti.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Turn off the electric power at the

fuse box or service panel before making any electrical connections,
and ensure a proper ground connection is made before connecting
line voltage. Failure to do so can result in property damage, personal
injury and/or death.
