7.2
Cleaning the cabinet
The cabinet mainly comprises electronic components. Apart from the fan(s), the unit contains
very few components that are subject to wear or require maintenance or service. The
purpose of maintenance is to maintain the cabinet in the original state. Dirt and
contamination must be removed regularly and parts subject to wear replaced.
The following points must generally be observed.
Dust deposits
Dust deposits inside the cabinet must be removed at regular intervals (or at least once a
year) by qualified personnel in line with the relevant safety regulations. The unit must be
cleaned using a brush and vacuum cleaner, and dry compressed air (max. 1 bar) for areas
that cannot be easily reached.
Ventilation
The ventilation openings of the cabinet must always be kept free and unobstructed. The fan
must be checked to make sure that it is functioning correctly.
Maintaining the filter medium for option M23/M43
For option M23/M43, the filter medium must be maintained according to the local
environmental conditions. The filter medium must be regularly inspected and replaced as
required.
You can obtain additional information regarding a maintenance contract from your Siemens
