Before cleaning

Inspect all cables, insulation, strain-reliefs and connectors for damage, cracks or
degradation. Refer damaged equipment to qualified service personnel for repair.
WARNING
PACKAGING DISPOSAL—Dispose of all packaging material,
observing all applicable waste control regulations and keeping out of
children's reach.
WARNING
DISPOSAL—At the end of its service life, the products described in
this manual, as well as its accessories, must be disposed of in
compliance with guidelines regulating the disposal of each product.
If you have any questions concerning disposal of a product, please
contact GE or its representatives.
NOTE
For additional information, refer to the How to Reach Us page provided with this
manual for contact information. Also see the operator's manual provided with
each handheld and patient monitoring device to safely clean or disinfect
transmitters, patient monitors, ECG cables, and leadwires.
WARNING
SHOCK HAZARD — In order to remove power from the ATS,
disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. The on/off button on
the front panel does not disconnect the ATS from AC power.
Additionally, wait after disconnecting the ATS power cord from the
wall outlet. The ATS remains energized for a period of time after
shutdown.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in electrical shock.
1.
Shut down the ATS.
See Safe shutdown/restart of the ATS on page 6-21.
2.
Turn off and unplug the ATS.
NOTE
When unplugging, pull on the plug, not the cord.
