Chapter 3 Configuration

The RX3i EIS001 IEC 104 Server Module receives three different types of configuration:
a) Its rack/slot location is determined through the hardware configuration tool in Proficy
Machine Edition and is downloaded to the RX3i CPU.
b) Its Ethernet parameters are set through Proficy Machine Edition (PME), as documented in
PACSystems RX7i & RX3i TCP/IP Ethernet Communications User Manual, GFK-2224 Chapter 4.
Similarly, its Station Manager parameters are set through Proficy Machine Edition, as
documented in PACSystems TCP/IP Ethernet Communications Station Manager User Manual,
GFK-2225.
c) The IEC 104 Server profile is determined by a COMMREQ instruction that is used to initialize it.
The COMMREQ is executed only once following power-up or restart of the RX3i system.
