ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM (T135SE)

4. Starter relay
9 Remove the starter relay from the starter
relay coupler on the wire harness.
9 Connect the pocket tester ( Ω⋅
tery (DC 12 V) to the starter relay coupler as
shown.
Positive battery terminal
Negative battery terminal

9 Does the starter relay have continuity
between red and red/white?
YES

5. Main switch
9 Check the main switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
9 Is the main switch OK?
YES

6. Start switch
9 Check the start switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
9 Is the start switch OK?
YES

7. Wiring
9 Check the entire starting system wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUITDIAGRAM".
9 Is the starting system wiring properly con-
nected and without defects?
YES
The starting sys-
tem circuit is OK.

Replace the right
handlebar switch.
NO
Properly connect or
repair the starting
system wiring.
