CHECKING THE SWINGARM

1. Check:
9 swingarm
Bends/cracks/damage → Replace.
2. Check:
9 swingarm pivot shaft
Roll the pivot shaft on a flat surface.
Bends → Replace.
w
Do not attempt to straighten a bent pivot
shaft.
3. Wash:
9 swingarm pivot shaft
9 washer
9 bushings
Recommended cleaning solvent
Kerosene
4. Check:
9 washer
Damage/wear → Replace.
9 bushings
Damage/wear → Replace.

1. Lubricate:
9 swingarm pivot shaft
Recommended lubricant
Lithium-soap-based grease
