74 Maintenance
Replacing the fan of the main breaker cubicle

WARNING!
Only qualified electricians are allowed to do this work. Read the complete safety
instructions of the converter. If you ignore the instructions, physical injury, death,
or damage to the equipment can occur.
Disconnect the converter from the all power sources and make sure it is safe to start the
work. See the safety instructions.
1.
De-energize the fans by switching off the converter. Obey the safety instructions.
2.
The cooling fan of the main breaker cubicle is located on the cabinet door. Remove all
the fasteners from the support plate on top of the grating and remove the support plate.
3.
Lift the grating and pull it away from the door.
4.
Remove the air filter.
5.
Remove all the fasteners from the inner grating and remove it.
6.
Disconnect the wiring plug of the fan.
7.
Undo the four fastening screws of the fan. The fan grille is detached then too.
8.
Pull the fan out.
9.
Install a new fan in reverse order. Check that the air flow direction is correct (an arrow
indicating the direction is marked on the side of the fan).
10. Reinstall the filter and grating in reverse order. Check that the filter orientation is correct
(an arrow indicating the air flow direction is marked on the side of the filter).
