Troubleshooting
NOTE:
• If the LED code remains at "00", the Motherboard is expected to be operating properly and should not be replaced immediately.
• If the imagePRESS Serve is powered off only, the Host Machine must be restarted. When the Host Machine receives the
imagePRESS Server termination notification, it does not recognize the imagePRESS Server until the Host Machine is
restarted.
If the LED code "00" does not indicate "Reach Idle," check the following.
1. Verify that communication between the Host Machine and the imagePRESS Server is established via the Cross-ethernet
cable.
Check the following with ping. (Service Mode > COPIER > TEST > NETWORK > PING)
• 10.255.255.1
• 10.255.255.2
If it cannot be confirmed by ping, check the Cross-ethernet cable, etc.
2. Verify that "COPIER > OPTION > INT-FACE > CNT-TYPE > xxx" is displaying "4XX" in the service mode of the Host Machine.
If "0" is displayed, the Host Machine does not recognize the imagePRESS Server.
Power off the Host Machine and imagePRESS Server, reboot, and wait for "4XX."
3. If "Reach Idle" does not appear when "COPIER > OPTION > INT-FACE > CNT-TYPE > xxx" displays "4XX" in the service
mode of the Host Machine, the imagePRESS Server system software files may be corrupted.

Checking the network

Printing problems may arise if the network hardware or software is not set up properly or does not match network settings on the
imagePRESS Server. Problems may also arise when printing from a specific application or printing a particular file.
Most of these problems show up as printing problems and do not necessarily indicate a imagePRESS Server malfunction. The
customer's site administrator can eliminate many printing problems without requiring you to make a service call. The site
administrator deals with:
• Error conditions on the printer
• Network connection problems that result in the printer not appearing in the list of printers on the customer's computers
NOTE:
If the printer does not appear in the list of printers on the network, there may be another device on the network with the same
IP address.
• Conflicting network settings in Setup and on the customer's computers
