7. Save the job error report.
■ Download the System Logs
The imagePRESS Server provides the ability to download system logs that can be sent to the technical support for diagnostic
purposes. The logs are combined into a single, encrypted zip file, which does not contain any original job files.
1. Start a web browser and access the imagePRESS Server by entering the server name or IP address of the imagePRESS
Server.
NOTE:
If a message about an untrusted connection appears or you are asked whether you want to proceed, you can safely ignore the
message and proceed to access WebTools.
2. In WebTools, click the Configure tab.
3. Log on with Administrator privileges and click OK.
To log on with the Administrator privileges, use the administrator's password set by the site administrator.
4. On the left side, choose Fiery Server > System Logs > Download.
5. Specify the location and save the system log file.

Cleaning the imagePRESS Server

The accumulation of dust on the fans may cause the following problems.
• High temperature inside the chassis
• Noise from the fans
• Short-circuit or damage on the board assembly
As a regular maintenance, it is important to remove dust on the fans and air duct to keep the airflow inside the chassis.
WARNING:
Before you open the imagePRESS Server, it is strongly recommended that you review
avoid injury or damage to the imagePRESS Server.
In addition, keep the following in mind:
• To prevent inhaling dust, make sure to wear a mask when cleaning inside the chassis.
• If possible, create a backup of the current system before cleaning the imagePRESS Server (see
the system configuration" on page
• When cleaning the imagePRESS Server, make sure to move the imagePRESS Server to a place where the stirred dust does
not cause any problems.
• Use appropriate cleaning tools.
• Vacuum cleaner
Use vacuum cleaner only to remove the accumulated dust outside the chassis.
• Air dust blower
Use a air blower when you remove the dust on the fans, or other area where the vacuum cleaner nozzle cannot be used.
