● The chilled water pipes should be closely wrapped with thermal insulation
foam along the route. Ensure that the foam is in close contact with the pipes.
● Pipes only can be routed from the bottom of the downflow units. Pipes can be
routed from the side or bottom of the upflow units. Determine the pipe routing
method based on site conditions.
● After pipes are routed for the unit, seal the gaps between the pipes and the
pipe holes.

3.5.2.1 Upflow

Context
Tools: 75# open-end wrench, 36# open-end wrench, 18# pipe wrench, sealant
(used for pasting thermal insulation foam), screw thread sealant
Procedure
Step 1 Loosen the left knocking-off padding cover of the cabinet using a Phillips
screwdriver. Take out the cover and remove the knocking-off padding.

Step 2 Remove the pipe plug using a 75# open-end wrench and 36# open-end wrench
(the 75# open-end wrench is used to secure the pipe nut and the 36# open-end
wrench is used to secure the plug to prevent the pipes from being distorted), as
shown by (1) in
