(2) Attachment of a Network Interface
Comply with the following procedure when installing a high port-density PSU-integrated NIF.

Step 1
Open the levers of the network interface board as shown in the figure below, and
insert it into the slot.

NOTE: The high port-density PSU-integrated NIF should be installed in a packet
switching unit slot. If a packet switching unit is already installed there, it needs to
be removed before installing the high port-density PSU-integrated NIF.
For detailed information regarding installing/removing a packet switching unit,
see the section 5.6 Additional Installation/Exchange of Packet Switching Unit.

Caution: When installing a Packet Switching Unit into the device, open its levers as
shown in the figure above. If you try to install it with its levers shut or open
too wide, its levers might be damaged when being inserted into the slot.
