8. Power on the machine and perform return-to-origin

8.1. Turn on the mains electricity and air supply to the machine

After connecting the power cable and air hose to the machine, ask the customer to turn on the mains
electricity and supply of compressed air to the machine. Measure the voltage of the terminal block
connected to the mains electricity using a multimeter.
Warning
Exercise extreme care against electric shock and short-circuit when measuring the voltage.
Otherwise serious injury and/or machine damage can result.
Note
The standard voltage in Japan is V200 +/- 10%.
8.2. Power on the machine and perform return-to-origin
After turning on the mains electricity and supply of compressed air to the machine, turn on the machine
and perform return-to-origin.
Make sure that all the metal pieces fixing the axes for transportation have been removed.
Warning
If any fixing metal piece remains unremoved, when performing return-to-origin process, serious
machine damage can result.
Check all the removed fixing metal pieces and bolts against "Checklist for transportation axes mounting
hardware" to confirm that all the metal pieces have been removed completely from the machine. If some
metal pieces are missing, it could possibly remain on the machine unremoved. See "4. Remove shipping
brackets" on page 14 for information.
Check inside of the machine for remaining tools and parts.
Check that the main switch of the machine is turned off.
Turn on the main circuit breaker as shown in the below figure.
