Operation

Setting the cutter wheels L
The cutter wheels should never be lower than
6-12 mm above the ground at the lowest cutter
position. The cutter wheels are not designed to bear
the loads generated by the cutters and may have
to be offset accordingly. They are used solely for
compensating for floor unevenness.
Always move the cutting wheels so they line up
Î
evenly.
Note
The number of cutter deck wheels varies
depending on the model.

¾ Also observe the information in the operating
manual for the engine.
Note
Comply with the national/municipal regula-
tions concerning the times when the appli-
ance may be used (if required, contact your
local authority).
Switching on/off the headlights K (optional;
depending on the model)
To turn the headlights on, set the switch to "ON".

To turn the headlights off, set the switch to "OFF".
Î
Open the fuel tap J
You can use the fuel tap to open and close the
supply of fuel to the left and right fuel tanks.
Fuel supply to both tanks shut
Fuel supply to right tank open
Fuel supply to left tank open
Switch parking brake on/off M
To switch the parking brake on, press the brake
Î
pedal [A] right through and press the
switch [D]
.
To switch the parking brake off, press through the
Î
brake pedal [A] until the switch [D] is released.
Attention !
¾ Always switch on the parking brake before
leaving the device.
¾ Do not step on the forward pedal [B] or the
reverse pedal [C] while the brake pedal [A] is
activated or the parking brake is switched on.
This may damage the gears.
Setting the engine speed E
You can set the engine speed with infinite variability
using the throttle.
Fast engine speed =
Slow engine speed =
Using the ignition lock D
Note on the ignition lock D
Depending on the model, the vehicle is
equipped with a standard ignition lock Da or
with an ignition lock with OCR function Db .
Ignition lock Da
To start the engine turn the ignition key to

Ignition lock with OCR function Db
This is an ignition lock with OCR function (= user-
controlled mowing in reverse).
To start the engine turn the ignition key to

To activate OCR turn the key anti-clockwise from

normal position to reverse-mowing

Press the switch [1].
Î
3 The indicator lamp [2] is lit. You can now mow
both when moving forwards and when reversing.
To stop the engine turn the ignition key to the

left
.
The OCR function is switched off automatically once
the key is turned to the normal position or the motor
is shut down (stop position or shutdown of the motor
through the safety lock system).
Note
Only use the OCR function if absolutely nec-
essary, otherwise use the normal position.
