There are three parts of audio settings:
1. Computer sound card mixer settings
How the sound card is handled depends on logger programs capabilities. Some loggers can directly drive
sound mixer controls and settings, several also in conjunction of current state of operation. In general keep
this advices:
PLAYBACK
1. Open Windows Mixer settings and choose
Playback settings
2. Check "Volume Control" and "Wave"
3. Move sliders to the one half of way
4. Be sure that the controls are not muted.
2. USB Device Router Audio Switching
MK is very strong in audio handling and switching between computer and transceiver. For description
please look at chapter 12, USB Device router / Audio.
3. MK and transceiver level settings
There are two knobs for adjusting audio driving levels.
1. First marked as "COMPUTER" serve for adjusting audio signal level coming to computer Line In input.
2. Second marked as "RADIO" serve for adjusting audio signal level coming to transceiver AF IN or MIC IN
input. Because transceiver AF IN and MIC IN inputs handles different levels, correctly attenuated level
for MIC IN must be adjusted by special "trimmer". On the bottom PCB at the right side next to the

11. AUDIO SETTINGS

1. Open Windows Mixer settings and choose
2. Check "Line In" and "Microphone"
3. Move sliders to the one half of way
4. Select Line In
