Routing
Once virtual ports are created they can by associated with some device channels (e.g. FSK channel in MK).
Use subpage "Ports" of MK page or device page of USB interface for this purpose. These "routing" settings
need to correspond to settings of logging software.
USB interface has four channels:
- serial channel for radio control (uses serial data signals RX and TX)
- output signal CW (uses DTR)
- output signal PTT (uses RTS)
- input signal Foot Switch feedback (uses CTS)
All these channels can share the same COM port, because they use different serial port signals.
MK has six channels:
- serial channel for Radio control (uses serial data signals RX and TX)
- serial channel for FSK (uses serial TX data)
- serial channel for WinKey (uses serial data signals RX and TX)
- output signal CW (uses DTR or RTS)
- output signal PTT (uses DTR or RTS)
- input signal Foot Switch feedback (uses one of CTS, DCD, DSR or RING)
Serial channels (radio control, FSK and WinKey) have to be associated with different COM ports but I/O
signals (CW, PTT, Foot Switch) can share the COM port with any of them.
