Context
The requirements for the installation of the smoke sensor are as follows:

Procedure
Step 1 Install the smoke sensor in the selected position.

If the smoke sensor is to be installed in the center of the ceiling, ensure that:
There is no obstacle within a 0.5 m [1.64 ft] radius of the smoke sensor.

The horizontal distance between the smoke sensor and the blast vent of the air-
–
conditioner is greater than 1.5 m [4.92 ft].
The horizontal distance between the smoke sensor and the air vent in the ceiling is
–
greater than 0.5 m [1.64 ft].
The horizontal distance between the smoke sensor and the air vent of the air-conditioner
–
is greater than 1.5 m [4.92 ft].
The smoke sensor is suitable for detecting fires that have smolder during the initial stage
and emit large amounts of smoke. Do not install the smoke sensor at locations where:
Black smoke is emitted during fires.
–
No smoke or little smoke is edited during fires.
–
The relative humidity is constantly greater than 95%.
–
The airflow rate is greater than 5 m/s.
–
Large amounts of dust or water smoke is suspended.
–
Corrosive gas may be emitted.
–
Smoke is suspended under normal circumstances.
–
Organic substances, such as alcohol, ether, and ketone are generated.
–
Before powering on the smoke sensor, ensure that the smoke sensor is correctly connected.
Thirty seconds after the smoke sensor is powered on, the red indicator will start to blink
once every 9 to 15 seconds.
Dust easily accumulates on the smoke sensor. Therefore, clear the dust periodically to avoid
false alarms.
To protect the smoke sensor from dirt, do not remove the dust cover before using the sensor.
CAUTION
The smoke sensor cannot work without the power supply. Therefore, the smoke sensor does
not work if the power supply is interrupted.
To avoid damage to the smoke sensor, do not directly use +24 V DC input voltage for the
smoke sensor.
NOTE
The smoke sensor can be connected only to the terminals marked "Smoke&24VS".

The smoke sensor generates alarms when there is smoke or fire. You have to run an associated command
l
to clear the alarms.
