In a star topology, connect the RJ71PN93s (2) to the IO controller via a switching hub (3) as follows.

Ring topology
The RJ71PN93 can operate as an MRC in a ring topology.
When a ring topology is used, check the following.
• The ring topology includes a device to be operated as the MRM.
• The communication timeout is set to 200ms or longer.
