Tramming Safety

You move the machine to and from the work site with
the use of a travel pendant. When tramming (moving
the machine with the pendant), observe the following
safety precautions:
Operate the travel pendant alongside the machine
outside of the danger zone
Keep all bystanders away while tramming the
machine.
Do not carry passengers on the machine.
Watch for the turning-radius sweep of the drill
frame, as the center of the turning radius is the
end of the track.

Move slowly when using the pendant for tramming.
Use care when loading or unloading the machine
onto a trailer.
Watch for traffic when crossing roadways.
Check for overhead clearances (i.e., doorways,
branches, electrical wires) before tramming under
any objects and do not contact them.
When tramming on a slope, you should be uphill
from the machine.
