Removing and replacing boards

This section includes procedures for removing and replacing the following boards:

• Copier interface board

• User interface board
• Motherboard
The imagePRESS Server is shipped from the factory with a standard board configuration. If
optional components have been installed, see the documentation that accompanies the
particular option kit.
Copier interface board
The copier interface board provides the print interface between the imagePRESS Server and
the copier. It is installed in motherboard connector PCIE x16. The copier interface board
processes the image data and sends it to the copier through the copier interface cable available
on the imagePRESS Server connector panel.

1 Shut down and open the imagePRESS Server (see pages
To remove the copier interface board, you must remove the left panel.
2 Make sure that the copier interface cables are removed from the imagePRESS Server connector
panel.
3 Remove the board mounting bracket screw that attaches the copier interface to the chassis.
4 Remove the copier interface board from the chassis.
Grasp the copier interface board at the front and back edges and gently pull the board straight
out of its motherboard connector.
