Minimum pulse duration and minimum interpulse period

The minimum pulse duration and the minimum interpulse period are the minimum pulse
duration and interpulse period that are to be output.
The module suppresses pulses and interpulse periods whose duration is less the minimum
pulse duration. A pulse duration that is less than the period duration by an amount less than
the minimum interpulse period is set by the module to the value of the period duration. In this
way you can suppress undesired effects when the connected actuator is not able to react
appropriately to such short signal changes.
Figure 4-3
You set the minimum pulse duration from 0 to 85 s with a precision of 1 µs in the hardware
configuration. The set value applies simultaneously to the minimum interpulse period.
Note
Current control
If you are using current control, a configured minimum pulse duration has no effect.
Note
Dithering
If you are using dithering without current control, the configured minimum pulse duration is
effective. In this case, the superimposition of the PWM signal is reduced so that the effective
pulse duration is within the permissible range.
