Configuring/address space
4.2 Pulse width modulation PWM mode
4.2.1.3
Duty cycle
The duty cycle corresponds to the ratio of pulse duration to period duration (also referred to
as mark-to-space ratio).
You set the duty cycle in the control interface (Page 55) using OUTPUT_VALUE as integer
(UDINT). The value range is dependent on the configured output format. If you set the value
0, the DQn.A is not set during the entire period duration. If you set the maximum value, the
DQn.A is set during the entire period duration. If you set a value above the value range, the
maximum value is used.
Output format
1/100 (%)
1/1000 (‰)
1/10000
S7 analog output
A changed duty cycle takes effect with the next rising edge at DQn.A.
Note
Current control
If you are using current control (Page 44), the module controls the duty cycle, and the
current setpoint is assigned using OUTPUT_VALUE.
