APPENDIX HANDLING PERISHABLE COMPONENTS
< NOTE >
・ When you replace a component in order to, for example, repair equipment,
you may need to replace the component with a functionally compatible one.
・ If you repair a component in a manner not recommended by the
Manufacturer, proper operation of the component is not guaranteed.
・ For the following parts, the following restrictions will occur for long-term
use.
(*1) Total Byte Written: Total written amount
(*2) It is the usable year when the amount of data written by the
application per day for the internal file device (mSATA SSD) is about
2 GB / day or less.
TBW: 9.6 TB ÷ ((application written amount: 2.0 GB + OS written amount:
0.58 GB) × 365 days) = about 10 years
【OS writing amount assuming general usage of Windows environment:
about 0.58 GB / day】
・ Also, even if trouble should arise in the content of the file, please carry
out periodic backup work of the file in daily work so that it can recover
promptly.
■How to use when the amount of writing exceeds 2 GB / day
(1) It is recommended that program parts with fewer write times be stored in
the internal file device (C drive) and log data and so on that have been
written many times are stored in external file devices (CFast card).
(2) By utilizing Windows Enhanced Write Filter (EWF), by placing internal
files in main memory, you can extend the usable life of mSATA SSD.
For details on how to use EWF see "4.1.2" separately.
