5.2 Serial Port Settings

The equipment shipped, the default for the serial ports is RS-232 specification.
In the case of RS-232(Default)

You can change the setting of the serial ports to RS-485 Half Duplex, RS-422 Full Duplex by the
following operation.
(1) Setup the serial ports
1. Start the setup menu. (See "5.3 BIOS Setup (1) Starting the setup menu")
2. Open Advanced in top menu. Select Super IO Configuration and press
Enter.
3. Select Serial Port A Configuration, next select Mode select.
4. RS-232, RS-485 Half Duplex, RS-422 Full Duplex a three modes are displayed.
Please select the mode to use.
5. Open Exit in the top menu again. Move the cursor to Exit Saving Changes. Press
Enter. The message "Save configuration and reset?" is displayed.
6. Select "Yes" and press Enter.
This completes the procedure. Then turn off the equipment and restart it.
In the case of RS-485 Half Duplex
