Appendix 8
This section describes how to use CC-Link in a redundant system of the CPU module.
The standby master function allows for continuous CC-Link communications by switching the master operating station with
the program even if system switching occurs in a redundant system.
Use the following modules in a redundant system.
• Process CPU
• Redundant function module
• The RJ61BT11 with a firmware version of "04" or later

System configuration

This section describes the configuration of a redundant system on CC-Link.
Master/local modules are mounted on the base units of both systems of a redundant system.
A redundant system is configured by connecting the master/local modules in both systems together using Ver.1.10-
compatible CC-Link dedicated cables.

Setting method

This section describes how to use module parameters in a redundant system.
Use a master station (system A) to set the module parameters.
Required Settings
■Station Type
Set the station type to "Master Station (Duplex Function)".
■Station Number
Enter a station number of system A. This item is not required for system B because the station number for it is set in "Network
Configuration Settings" under "Basic Settings".

Set the stations of system A and system B as follows:

■Link Refresh Settings
Do not set a link device other than the link special relay (SB) or link special register (SW) to "Link Side". Setting a link device
other than the link special relay (SB) or link special register (SW) will not result in a refresh.
