3.3 Setting Connection Parameters

Context
When you log in to the touch panel for the first time, set the parameters of the wireless network
and telepresence host.

Procedure
Step 1 After the wireless connection is successful, confirm that the Huawei Telepresence application
is installed.
The connection dialog box is displayed on the touch panel.
Step 2 Tap Settings to display the screen for entering the administrator password.
Step 3 Enter the administrator password (default value: Change_Me) to display the screen for setting
telepresence host connections.

Tap the clock area in the lower right corner. In the displayed dialog box, tap
Wi-Fi.
In the wireless network list, select an available WLAN to connect. To connect to a
disconnected WLAN, touch and hold the WLAN and choose Modify network. Select
Show advanced options. Then set parameters according to

Parameter Description
Password Specify the login password for the wireless network, for example,
22rTP3106.
Proxy settings Set this parameter to None.
IP settings Set this parameter to Static.
IP address Specify the internal IP address of the touch panel, for example,
172.16.21.65.
Network prefix Specify the length for the internal IP address subnet mask, for
length example, 24.
Gateway Specify the IP address of the wireless router, for example,
172.16.21.64.
DNS 1 Specify the IP address of the preferred domain name server (DNS).
DNS 2 Specify the IP address of the alternate domain name server (DNS).
NOTE
When multiple telepresence hosts are used and the touch panel is already connected to a telepresence host,
you must change connection settings to enable the touch panel to connect to another telepresence host.
