Changing the Gain Setting
The Gain buttons (Figure 38) allow the operator to change the sensitivity of the camera to
optimize image quality vs. noise under different lighting conditions.

Select the corresponding gain button (0 dB, 6 dB, 8 dB, 12 dB, or 36 dB) to
set that gain level. The selected gain level is highlighted and saved for that
camera.
Changing the Shutter Setting
The Shutter buttons (Figure 38) allow the operator to change the shutter speed of the
camera to compensate for rapidly moving objects and lighting.

Select the corresponding shutter button (1/4, 1/15, 1/60, 1/100, or 1/500) to
select that shutter speed. The selected shutter speed is highlighted and
saved for that camera.
Specifying Use of a Neutral Density Filter
The N.D. Filter buttons (Figure 38) allow the operator to specify whether a neutral
density filter is positioned over the lens to prevent over-exposure when a view is overly
bright.
One of the N.D. Filter buttons (Off, 1/6, or 1/32) will always be selected.

Select the corresponding neutral density filter button (1/6 or 1/32) to position
that neutral density filter over the lens. The neutral density filter selection is
highlighted and saved for that camera.
2.
Select the Off button to operate the camera without a filter positioned over the
lens.
Gain is usually set at 0. One of the gain buttons will always be
selected.
One of the shutter buttons will always be selected.
