Universal Asynchronous Receiver & Transmitter (UART)
The UART is the element that allows the asynchronized serial communication.
The UART is used as the system I/O port(SMDR or PCMMC).
The UART is connected to the outside via the RJ-45 connector in front of the cabinet.
The UART uses OSC 1.8432 MHz clock as the Baud Rate source clock.
The default speed is 19.2 kbps and up to the maximum speed of 115.2 Kbps can be
supported by software.
EEPROM
The EEPROM to store MAC uses 3-Wire Serial 1kbit EEPROM(AT93C46, 128 byte)
The unique hardware number of a board is assigned in initial factory manufacture.
The EEPROM is connected to the Serial Peripheral Interface(SPI) in CPU for the
communication.
Reset
The reset chip uses DS1706RESA.
The types of the reset are power-on reset, push button reset, software reset, Watch Dog
reset, etc.
CPLD
The CPLD establishes the most logic for the TEPRI2 board and uses CPLD LC4256V-
75F by Lattice Inc.
The CPLD can be changed from the external PC via a JTAG bus.
IPC DPRAM
2-Kbyte DPRAM(71C132Y) is used for the IPC communication with the LP40 board.
IPC is operated in polling method.
Engine Block
STL7065 is used for the gain compensation of Tx/Rx highway of the TEPRI2 board.
