Removing the Spark Plug
1. Lower the grinder and shut off the machine; Refer to
Shutting Off the Engine (page

Checking the Spark Plug
1. Look at the center of the spark plug
see light brown or gray on the insulator, the engine is
operating properly. A black coating on the insulator
usually means that the air cleaner is dirty.
Important: Never Clean the spark plug. Always
replace the spark plug when it has a black coating,
worn electrodes, an oily film, or cracks.

Brake Maintenance

Adjusting the Parking Brake

1. Loosen the set screw on side of brake lever knob.
2. Turn the knob clockwise to tighten the brake; adjust
counter clockwise to loosen the brake.
Note: The left wheel should lock completely when
the brake is set.
3. Tighten the setscrew.
