Auto
Select Auto to set the terminal to automatically use the highest priority device from the list below
(1=Highest, 4=Lowest).
1. A2DP Headphone, BT Wireless Stereo profile
2. Wired Headset
3. Aux/Carkit
4. Speaker
Note: The Mic Gain and Sidetone sliders are disabled (N/A) when Auto is selected.
Handset
Select Handset to always route audio to the Handset (i.e., front speaker and front microphone).
Note: Connecting a headset or installing the terminal in a mobile base has no effect when Handset is selected.
The Mic Gain slider adjusts the audio input sensitivity of the microphone.
The Sidetone slider adjusts the volume of feedback from the front microphone into the front speaker
(e.g., the volume of your voice in your own ear piece).
Speaker
Note: Connecting a headset or installing the terminal in a mobile base has no effect when Handset is selected.
The Mic Gain slider adjusts the audio input sensitivity of the microphone.
Note: The Sidetone slider is disabled (N/A) when Speaker is selected.
Headset
Select Headset to always route audio to a Wired Headset if it is present. If a headset is not connected to
the terminal, there is no audio. By default, the headset microphone is used for audio input.
The Mic Gain slider adjusts the audio input sensitivity of the microphone. To amplify the microphone
input, check the Headset Mic Boost box.
The Sidetone slider adjusts the volume of the feedback from the headset microphone into the headset
ear piece (e.g., the volume of your voice in the headset ear piece).
Aux/Carkit
Select Aux/Carkit to always route audio to an external speaker on a peripheral device (e.g., Mobile
Base). If an external speaker is not present, there is no audio. By default, the front microphone on the
terminal is used for audio input.
The Mic Gain slider adjusts the audio input (gain) of the microphone.
Note: The Sidetone slider is disabled (N/A) when Aux/Carkit is selected.
Bluetooth Headset
Select Bluetooth Headset to set the terminal to automatically use the highest priority device available
from the list below (1=Highest, 4=Lowest).
