OCR Preferences

1. Choose Preferences from the File menu or click on the Preferences icon
from the Toolbar. The Preferences dialogue box will appear.
2. Click on the OCR tab and the OCR dialogue box will appear.
Auto Detect Detects and maintains the original placement of the
text.
Treats everything on a scanned page as a single
Force Single
column.

Language Choose a language from the Languages drop-down
list.
Draft-Mode If the image youÕre recognizing was created on a
Dot Matrix dot-matrix printer, choose this option.
Auto Deskew If the image youÕre OCRing was scanned into
your computer at a skewed angle, choose this option.
3. When youÕve changed all the necessary settings, click OK to save the
settings and close the dialogue box.
