9 NXDN TRUNKING SYSTEM
9.7 Making a Group Call (Transmission Trunked)
Vibrator (Portable only)
The Vibrator does not function even if the transceiver receives a Group Call.
Caller ID Stack
The Caller ID will not be stored in the transceiver stack memory even if the transceiver receives a Group Call.
Note
This function can be used with the Group Call (Message Trunked (Enhanced)) and the Broadcast Group Call.
Configuration using KPG-111D/ DN
Configuring the Call Alert Inhibit (Group Calls only) to be enabled or disabled (
Preventing Reception of a Group Call While the Transceiver Is Receiving an
Individual Call (Ignore Group Call during Individual Call)
Ignore Group Call during Individual Call is the function that prevents receipt of a Group Call if receiving an Individual Call.
This function is used to prioritize the receipt of Individual Calls.
If this function is enabled, the transceiver cannot receive a Group Call (including data communications) while receiving an
Individual Call and the Auto Reset Timer is counting down.
Note
• Even if this function is enabled, the following Group Calls can be received.
• A Group Call by a Group ID registered as a Priority Monitor ID
• A Group Call using All Group ID
• A Group Call for Emergency
• This function can be used with the Group Call (Message Trunked (Enhanced)) and the Broadcast Group Call.
Configuration using KPG-111D/ DN
Configuring the Ignore Group Call during Individual Call to be enabled or disabled (
PTT Hold Inhibit
PTT Hold Inhibit can be used to prevent the transmission behavior if transmission is disabled on a traffic channel when the
transceiver starts transmitting using Group Call in an NXDN Trunking system.
While a transceiver transmits a Group Call, another transceiver receiving this Group Call cannot transmit a Group Call. If
this function is enabled, the transceiver can notifies the user that transmission is disabled even if the PTT switch is pressed
to transmit when the transceiver is receiving a Group Call while another transceiver is transmitting using Group Call.
Using this function prevent the transceivers maintaining transmission from initiating transmission simultaneously when
transmission becomes possible; therefore, the collision of calls can be avoided.
