6.1.2.3 GSM-GPRS-UMTS-LTE transmission
With the 4G IP USB extension module (art. no. 057810) and the MB-Secure control panel, it is pos-
sible to dial into the Internet using the GSM service GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), UMTS
(Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) and LTE (Long Term Evolution). This enables
standing and need-based IP connections to be established to one or more receiving control pan-
els. These IP connections can be used encrypted or unencrypted for message transmission. The
receiving control panel (security company) must support the reception of hazard messages from
IP data networks.
The following overview illustrates the possible transmission protocols in conjunction with compat-
ible transmission devices.
To use the current performance features of GSM / GPRS / UMTS / LTE transmis-
sion, which are provided by the 4G IP USB extension module (art. no. 057810),
the programming software IQ PanelControl: version V10.xx or higher is required!
