A tether anchorage point is provided in the
ceiling for the rear seats.
If you have a child restraint system that comes
with a tether but can be installed with a seat
belt, the tether may be used for additional
security.
1. Pull up the head restraint, and push it
behind until it latches, then route the tether
strap through the head restraint legs. Make
sure the strap is not twisted.
2. Secure the tether strap hook to the
anchorage.
3. Tighten the tether strap as instructed by the
child restraint system manufacturer.

WARNING: Child restraint anchorages are designed
to withstand only those loads imposed by correctly
fitted child restraints. Under no circumstances are
they to be used for adult seat belts, harnesses or for
attaching other items or equipment to the vehicle.
Always use a tether for front-facing child restraint
system when using the seat belt or lower anchors.
If adults are to use the third row seats, the child
restraint anchor fittings on the ceiling should not be
installed.
