Selecting a Recording Mode

The camera has a variety of different recording modes.

In the REC mode, touch the

Touch the recording mode icon.

Touch the icon of the recording mode you want
to use.
This enters the selected recording mode.

Premium Auto
Pro
Dramatic
Slow Motion
Õ High Speed CS
Prerecord (Still
image)
Time Lapse
Standard Auto recording mode. This is the mode normally
used for shooting (page 28).
With Premium Auto Pro recording, the camera
automatically determines whether you are shooting a
subject or scenery, and other conditions. Premium Auto
Pro recording delivers higher image quality than standard
Auto recording mode (page 28).
Dramatic slow can be used during movie recording to
switch momentarily to slow motion recording for a specific
period. You can highlight specific portions of a movie by
recording them in slow motion (page 32).
Up to 30 images can be recorded for a single High Speed
CS operation (page 34).
Prerecord CS saves images of what occurred before
[r/SLOW] is pressed (page 35).
Time Lapse shoots a movie that appears like a high-
speed rendition of the action by splicing together a series
of photos shot over a fixed period (page 36).
