5. Connect the other end of the second
jumper cable to the nut of the 12-volt
battery sensor - terminal as shown. Do not
connect this jumper cable to any other part.
6. If your vehicle is connected to another
vehicle, start the assisting vehicle's engine
and increase its rpm slightly.
7. Attempt to start your vehicle's power
system. If it isn't turn on, check that the
jumper cables have good metal-to-metal
contact.
1If the 12-Volt Battery Is Dead
12-volt battery performance degrades in cold
conditions and may prevent the power system from
starting.
Do not force the door to open or close.
There is a mechanism that lowers the window when
the door is opened. If the 12-volt battery has died
and the window cannot be lowered, it may scrape
against the vehicle body when the door is opened or
closed. If this happens, slowly open or close the door
while pressing down on the upper part of the
window.
