9 Troubleshooting

problems that may occur when operating the product.

covered by this guide, contact your GE representative for advice.
Note:
Agitation, Xcellerex XDM mixer
Problem
Variable frequency drive (VFD) is
not functioning as expected.
An error code is shown on the
VFD display.
The agitator motor cannot be
started.

Depending on the selected configuration of the system, some components
listed in this chapter may not be applicable for each mixer.
Possible causes
The motor is overloaded.
Power cable is not connected.
The drive is broken.
Software or mechanical fault in
the VFD.
The power switch on the I/O
Cabinet is in O OFF position.
Power cable is not connected.
The drive is broken.

Corrective action
Acknowledge the agitator fault
and attempt to restart the mo-
tor. If the error persists, contact
GE for service.
Connect the power cable.
Contact your GE representative
to replace the drive.
Refer to the VFD manufacturer's
manual for error code clarifica-
tion. If the problem cannot be
solved on site, contact your GE
representative for help.
Turn the power switch to I ON
position.
Connect the power cable.
Contact your GE representative
to replace the drive.
