Setting the waiting time

You can set a waiting time (in seconds) for interruptions.
The waiting time starts as soon as the probe is uncou-
pled during a B-scan recording. As long as you couple
the probe again within this time, the B-scan display is
continued. Otherwise, the instrument will end the B-
scan display.
The expiring waiting time is displayed at the top right
corner of the screen display in the power display box.
– In the function group MEASURE, select the function
TIMEOUT.
– Set the required waiting time.

Minimum value line

You can display a minimum reading as a line in the
B-scan. The adjusted minimum value is identical with
the minimum value which triggers an alarm when fallen
below (see Section Configuring alarm functions,
page 5-39). However, the alarm functions are complete-
ly independent of the visible minimum value line. The
minimum value line is meant for visual orientation.
– In the function group ALARM, select the function
MIN.
– Choose the option ON in order to activate the mini-
mum value alarm.
– Select the function MIN ALARM and set the thick-
ness value which should be displayed as a line in the
B-scan.
