Cisco SCE does not support direct downgrade of higher PP versions to a lower PP version. While downgrading
the protocol pack from a higher version to a lower version, the Cisco SCA BB console displays an error message
and prevents you from applying the policy on the Cisco SCE.
Step 7
During upgrade (or downgrade), you need to check the Protocol pack version present in Cisco SCABB and SCE. If both
Protocol pack versions are not the same, the default service configuration fails when applied.
Clearing or Resetting Protocol Pack Version
If Protocol Pack version mismatch appears in Cisco SCE and SCABB, you need to clear or reset the Protocol pack to get the
default version.
To clear or reset the Protocol pack:
1. From the Cisco SCA BB Console, choose Windows > Preferences.
2. In the Preferences window, expand the Service Configuration.
3. Click Protocol Pack.
4. Click Clear Default Protocol Pack.
5. Click OK.
6. Restart the SCABB to take effect the changes in any one of the following ways:
