Tighten the captive screws on each end of the SIP faceplate to ensure proper EMI shielding and to
prevent the SIP from becoming partially dislodged from the backplane (see
of the captive screws).
Install the SPAs and optics modules in the SPAs that use them. See the

If you installed the SIP in slots that previously contained legacy line cards, enter the no hw-module slot

Removing a SIP

Warning
When performing the following procedures, wear a grounding wrist strap to avoid ESD damage to the
SIP. Some platforms have an ESD connector for attaching the wrist strap. Do not directly touch the
midplane or backplane with your hand or any metal tool, or you could shock yourself.
