Configuring an RX3i Embedded Ethernet Interface
1.
In the Project tab of the Navigator, expand the
PACSystems Target, the hardware configuration, and
the main rack (Rack 0).

Expand the CPU slot (Slot 2). The Embedded Ethernet
Interface is displayed as "Ethernet".

Right click the daughterboard slot and choose
Configure. The Parameter Editor window displays the
Ethernet Interface parameters.

To add the Ethernet Global Data component, right-
click the Target. Select Add Component and then
Ethernet Global Data.

Select the desired tab, and then click in the
appropriate Values field.
Ethernet Parameters (Settings Tab)
Configuration Mode: This is fixed as TCP/IP.
Adapter Name: This is automatically generated based upon the rack/slot location of the Ethernet interface.
IP Addresses: These values should be assigned by the person in charge of your network (the network
administrator). TCP/IP network administrators are familiar with these parameters. It is important that these
parameters are correct, otherwise the Ethernet Interface may be unable to communicate on the network
and/or network operation may be corrupted. It is especially important that each node on the network is
assigned a unique IP address.
