Interrupted Stroke

DANGER
!
INTERRUPTED STROKE DUE TO MACHINE MALFUNCTION
Investigate and correct the cause of the interrupted stroke before resuming operation of the
press.
Failure to comply with these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
An Interrupted Stroke occurs when the press has been emergency-stopped before the
completion of the stroke by either the operator or a safety device.
When an interrupted stroke occurs, a stop command is immediately issued to the press and
"INTERRUPTED STROKE" flashes in the status box at the top of the SmartPAC 2 screen.
WPC automatically switches to TWO HAND MAINTAINED SINGLE STROKE mode. Push
and hold both run buttons until the press reaches top dead center. At this point, WPC switches
back to the stroke mode selected on the stroke select switch.
NOTICE
INTERRUPTED STROKE IN DIFFERENT OPERATING MODES
• If an interrupted stroke occurs in Single Stroke or Continuous mode, WPC automatically
switches to TWO HAND MAINTAINED SINGLE STROKE, regardless of the Micro-inch or
top stop bypass settings.
• If an interrupted stroke occurs in Inch mode, the WPC stays in Inch mode for the remainder
of the stroke. Micro-inch, if enabled, still operates.
