If you have more than one column of items on a display, the highlight will move from the
bottom of one column to the top of the next column. It will continue moving through all the
columns (and keep repeating) until you release the cursor key.
LEFT (
) and RIGHT (
) Cursor Keys
If you have a display with two columns of items, you can move the highlight bar from the
left column to the right column quickly by pressing the RIGHT ( ) cursor key. To go back
to the first column, press the LEFT ( ) cursor key.
Sometimes a display has more columns than can appear on the screen. The tool number list,
for example, can have up to nine columns (for 200 numbers). However, only two columns
can appear on the screen at a time. To see a new column, press the RIGHT cursor key to
move the bar to the rightmost column, then press the key again. A new column will appear at
the right if there are more tool numbers.
You can keep pressing the RIGHT cursor key to see more columns. To go back to the first
two columns, move the highlight to the leftmost column using the RIGHT cursor key, then
press the key again. New columns will appear at the left until you get back to the beginning.
If you press and hold down the RIGHT cursor key when there are more than two columns,
columns will continuously appear on the right until you release the key. If you get to the end
of all the columns, the columns will repeat from the beginning.
If you press and hold down the LEFT cursor key, columns will continuously appear on the
left until you let up. When you get to the beginning of all the columns, they will repeat from
the end.
